"I would like to donate my body to science."
Prof. Amulya Kumar Panda used to say this with quiet conviction. It wasn’t just a thought — it was a belief rooted in purpose. He wasn’t trying to be noble. He simply believed that even in death, we can give back — not in memory, but in meaning.
A renowned scientist, a teacher, and a deeply compassionate human being, Prof. Panda was also a well-known and respected retired Principal of Ravenshaw College, one of Odisha’s most historic educational institutions. He spent his life shaping minds and pushing boundaries. But what made him truly unforgettable was the way he lived — grounded, humble, and always guided by service.
When he passed, his final wish became his final lesson: he had pledged to donate his body to science. That act — so simple, so powerful — planted the seed for what would become Amulya Life.
In India, where body donation remains a sensitive and often misunderstood subject, Prof. Panda's decision opened doors to a new kind of conversation. A conversation not just about death, but about what it can still offer to the living. His life — and his final act — became a call to action.
We founded Amulya Life in his memory, not just to honour him, but to carry forward the idea he lived by: that the greatest gift we can give is the gift of knowledge. Today, Amulya Life is a growing trust that connects willing donors with medical institutions in need. It’s a platform for awareness, education, and support — built on empathy and respect.
Through every pledge, every conversation, every shared story, Prof. Panda’s voice echoes:
"I would like to donate my body to science."
